What Sets Us Apart

At Somerset Orthodontic Specialists, you and your family can relax, knowing that an experienced and highly regarded orthodontist is giving you the smile of your dreams!

Your First Experience

We strive to make our patients and parents feel special right from the first phone call. Our highly experienced staff is very informative and walks you right through your first experience at the complimentary clinical examination.

Once you arrive, Dr. Peterman and our clinical staff take over to continue that warm and friendly experience. There is no pressure to make any quick decisions here. We often get compliments from people on what a great experience they had right from the start!

We understand that, for our young patients, an orthodontic appointment may be a scary experience. Family members are always welcome to join their child in the clinical area during appointment time to ensure the comfort of the patient.

Cutting-Edge Treatment

Dr. Peterman and our staff provide orthodontic treatment for people of all ages. We offer traditional braces, Insignia™ braces, and are also a proud Preferred Provider for both Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen®!

We always keep up on the latest techniques to keep our office current on new technology. Our fully digital office features state-of-the-art iTero® digital impressions and digital X-rays. Digital technology allows you to experience a visit that is stress-free and relaxing. As an “impression-less” office, our iTero digital scanner obtains your records, allows you to view a digital model of your teeth on screen, and even simulates your smile outcome!

Bonded Retainers – the Better Choice!

What currently sets us apart from other orthodontic offices in the area is that we routinely apply fixed bonded lingual retainers for our patients after they have finished with their active orthodontic treatment.

Patients today are now looking for retention options that are invisible and comfortable. The prevention of relapse of crowding, rotations, or spacing in the maxillary and mandibular anterior segments following orthodontic treatment often necessitates long-term retention. The fixed retainers are bonded to the backsides of the upper and lower front teeth. They are a perfect option for all our patients!
